Uzbekistan Advances Potential $10 Million Sharia-Compliant SME Financing

On 2 November, Uzbekistan’s Open Bank and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector confirmed an expression of intent for a financing facility of up to $10 million to support eligible private-sector businesses, including SMEs. The facility remains a proposed financing arrangement rather than confirmed disbursement.
